Diets Caramel popcorn is a good, old-fashioned treat the whole family will enjoy. Be sure to store it in an airtight container.
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup margarine
2 tablespoons Gefen Corn Syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon Gefen Baking Soda
7 cups popcorn
1/2 cup peanuts, optional
In a large pot, bring first four ingredients to a boil.
Add baking soda, then remove from flame.
Pour in popcorn and peanuts, if desired, and stir until well coated.
Pour into a large baking pan and bake at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

Can the marge be substituted with oil?
Yes- I’d suggest canola oil, not olive.
