Who doesn’t like Chinese food? This chicken chow mein with celery, peppers, mushrooms, baby corn and of course crunchy chow mein noodles tastes like the real deal.
2 large onions, diced
3 stalks celery, thinly sliced
2 green peppers, thinly sliced
1 red pepper, thinly sliced
1 yellow pepper, thinly sliced
2 chicken cutlets, sliced thinly
1 (15-ounce) can baby corn, drained
16 ounces mushrooms, sliced
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
pinch of black pepper
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
9–12 ounces Gefen Chow Mein Noodles
Sauté onions in liberal amount of oil until golden.
Add celery and sauté until limp.
Add peppers and chicken cutlets and continue sautéing for 20 to 30 minutes or until tender.
Add corn, mushrooms and seasonings, cook for 10 minutes. Drain liquids.
Immediately prior to serving, add chow mein noodles (to prevent the noodles from becoming soggy).
