Mushrooms have a natural savory sweetness that is brought out by sautéing them for a few minutes. In my house, there is never a drop of this amazing dip left after Shabbos!
2 tablespoons oil
1 (8-ounce) container white mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons Gefen Mayonnaise, or more if needed
1 cube Gefen Frozen Garlic
1 teaspoon Gefen Honey or sugar
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
Heat oil in a medium frying pan over medium heat. Once oil is hot, add mushrooms and sauté until they start to become soft, about three to five minutes. Remove from fire and cool.
Place sautéed mushrooms, mayo, garlic and honey or sugar in food processor. Pulse until desired consistency is reached. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
