Sautéed mushrooms is just one of those dishes that make everything that much more flavorful, they’re great on their own (who can resist picking at it while it cools?!), as well as alongside almost anything.
Now how about adding just a bit of mayo and blending it… well… that’s just perfection!
1 tablespoon oil
1 medium onion, diced
8 ounces mushrooms, diced (white button or baby belle)
4 cloves garlic, crushed or 4 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic
1 teaspoon Gefen Salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 to 1/3 cup lite mayonnaise, such as Gefen (use sugar free if needed)
Heat oil in skillet on medium-high. Add diced onions and sauté for five minutes, stirring constantly. Add the diced mushrooms and sauté for an additional 10 minutes while continuing to stir.
Add the garlic and seasoning and stir to combine, sauté for another minute or two.
Let the sautéed mushrooms cool slightly in a bowl. Add mayo and blend using a hand blender.
