Diets This easy refrigerator jam is perfect as a challah spread or a cheeseboard accompaniment. The jam is delicious spread onto chicken or in a roast marinade. Any variety of fresh figs will work here! For a smoother jam, use a potato masher to press down on the fruit as it simmers.
Yield ~ 1 pint
1 and 1/2 pounds fresh figs (see note)
1/3 cup Heaven & Earth Pomegranate Juice
1-2 tablespoons Manischewitz Honey
Dice the figs. Add figs, honey, and juice to a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir and cook five minutes, reduce heat to a simmer. Allow to cook for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Let jam cool slightly before transferring to mason jars. Store in the refrigerator until ready to eat.
