Seared Tuna

  • 2 tablespoons oil

Tropical Salsa

  • 1 mango, diced

  • 1 avocado, diced

  • 1/4 red onion, diced

  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Directions

Prepare the Seared Tuna

1.

Cut tuna into a long rectangle and pat dry. Season all sides with salt and pepper.

2.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and sear tuna on each side for 30 seconds. Set aside to cool, then slice into medallions.

Prepare the Tropical Salsa

1.

Toss together all the salsa ingredients.

2.

To serve, spoon the salsa along the center line of a dish, allowing some to naturally fall to one side. Place tuna medallions along the edge of the salsa.
