The few ingredients in this recipe leave you with a soft meat, full of flavor.
1 Spanish onion, finely chopped
3 tablespoons oil
6 English ribs, or spare ribs, or any meat on the bone
1/4 cup Glicks Ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons Glicks Soy Sauce (use a wheat-free version for gluten-free)
1 tablespoon mustard
3 tablespoons Kedem Red Wine Vinegar
2 tablespoons black peppercorns
Heat two tablespoons oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, then set aside in a medium-sized bowl.
Meanwhile, preheat the slow cooker to high. Add one tablespoon of oil.
Use the same frying pan to sear the meat for about three minutes on each side. Transfer to slow cooker with all the pan juices.
Add sauce ingredients to the bowl with the onions and mix until combined.
Pour sauce over the meat, coating it as best you can.
Cover and cook on high for three to four hours, then reduce to low for up to eight hours.

The Recipe looks easy & yumm!
I’m planning on doing this on Yom Tov, any suggestions how to cook the ribs without having to change the heat setting from high to low?
Thanks
Ribs My kids love the ribs but really dislike the black pepper balls and having to separate them from the ribs. Any substitute I can use?
Thanks.
I would just use regular pepper.
I would do a teaspoon of the ground pepper.
Very yummy Delicious and easy to make. I cooked it first stovetop and then put the whole thing in the oven and baked on 300 for about 3 hours.
Sounds delish.
