This dip doesn’t use sour cream, but the flavors are very similar. Grilling the scallions lends a smoky flavor. With the everything seasoning, it’s really reminiscent of a bagel with cream cheese!
5 scallions, white and light green parts only
2 teaspoons Gefen Olive Oil, divided
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
1 cup Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon Pereg Everything Seasoning
1 tablespoon chopped chives
1/4 teaspoon Gefen Garlic Powder
Heat a grill/sauté pan. While it heats, mix scallions with one teaspoon oil in a small bowl. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add to pan and grill until scallions are slightly charred, about two minutes. Flip over and grill on the other side.
Transfer to a cutting board and let cool. Chop finely.
In a bowl, mix scallions with the Greek yogurt. Add everything seasoning, chives, garlic powder, and remaining one teaspoon oil. Taste and add additional salt and pepper to your liking.
