It was interesting that Chayitty Pollack is there only to bring out the contestants dishes. We all LOVE Chayitty!! How are the strawberries checked. It is hard to watch when strawberries can be so problematic. I am sure they were checked for bugs, just wondering when.
No worries! Suri washed and checked them before adding them in… not every rinse gets to star on camera 🙂
But I watched the CRC video on how to check strawberries and the first step is to cut off the top.
I don’t think she cut off the top until later on?

I’m not judging her. i dont know anything about her.. how can i judge her? Theres nothing wrong with having standards that need to be upheld. and if i was in charge of this show i would definitely tell her we would love to have you join and this is our dress code…

I really don’t understand why everyone is upset to see the contestant go home, and blame it on the judges. Is this not a competition after all? Someone has to go at the end of each round… and about the comments that the judges are being rude and negative, I think the contestants knew what they are in for when they applied… just enjoy watching… a huge thank you to Kosher. Com for providing kosher entertainment. !!!!
I’m reading through all the comments, and am finding it ironic that while many are voicing disapproval for how the contestants were criticized and shamed “on a Jewish show”, somehow they feel that it’s ok for THEM to criticize and shame the judges right here on this very same Jewish show

I have another great idea……the judges should be put to the challenge and these contestants should do the judging Hey! that would be fun! How about making a sequel to the food fight?

First of all,yes these shows are amazing and fun! I do agree that this is a jewish show and yes, we need to be more sensitive about peoples feelings. How about positivity???? even if its just a show. what bothered me most was last round as well, Surie’s dish had the least criticism, why didnt she win last round? and this round as well only Shusy tasted fruit not so soft (again does it have to be mushy?) everthing else was positive feedback… WHY DID SHE GO HOME? I SERIOUSLY THINK JUDGES ARE REALLY NOT FAIR ON THIS!!!!! Maybe they shoud give reasons…. the other 2 desserts got way more criticism than hers…..I really was shocked that she was the one sent home ! in real honesty judges arent being fair!!!!!!!
The judges decided based on “technical skill”, I guess they think Bassi & Mozelle are more competent which is totally unfair.
The decision should be based on the final product, not on skill.
Gosh, you were not there, did not taste the food and did not see everything up close!! How can you decide who should go home?? They honestly all made amazing dishes and I’m sure it was hard to decide who should lose this round.

I did find, like many others, the judges to be rude, and egocentric. This is a Jewish cooking show, you would expect to see good middos, people talking respectfully but instead you see the opposite. A cooking competition is not an excuse to go against our Jewish values, I think the judges could’ve got their points across in a nicer, more sensitive manner.
I cant WAIT for the next episode!!!! will they be doing another food fight after this???? This keeps me going!! The heimishe oilem is loving this entertainment it is definitely really geshmak!
Shushy is soooooooooo amazing she really knows what she’s doing she is a real expert i love her personality she is so invested and really cares to be honest but gentle at the same time. Perfect balance…
Ruchela (middle judge) having her in my kitchen would be really comforting and nice. she gives off such great vibes. she reminds me of my best tante ever!!
Shifra is so talanted that i feel like she has potential to be a judge in a court room maybe even the Supreme court because the way she verdicts the food with such honesty reliability, and sensitivity!!!

We love Suri!!! We will miss you!! I’m just wondering if the judges were not watching them cook would they have known Suris dessert was underbaked? Maybe the judges shouldn’t be so close to the contestants. I think Ruchella is way too critical and should be a little more complimentary.

She is NOT a good judge even by bassies biscuits for example shifra loved it and when it got to Ruchella she started saying how she doesn’t like it and then shifra said how she does and then she stopped…And then again by mozzle she only liked the cookie…
I think Ruchella is very biased and not a fair high-end chef/judge on the other hand shushy and shifra are complimentary, high-end, fair and enjoyable too watch chefs Ruchella stop being biased!

For the type of dessert the judges were expecting, maybe more than 30 minutes were needed. All 3 needed more time-Bassi for cooling, Mozelle for the chocolate setting, and Suri for baking; so that seems to indicate this should probably have been a 40-45 minute challenge.
very valid point you’ve got. i agree with you. 30 mins for a wow dessert doesn’t make sense…takes at least 45-50 minutes!

Love her spontaneity with her journeys! made me laugh! Also, she’s epic how she thought of her journey for the dessert on the spot! she’s ultra confident with her kitchen skills and does not care about anyones negative opinions. She’s a good role model.

I am not enjoying this show, the judges are wayy to egonostic and feel to stressed out watching it. it’s a pity. they have such contestants.

I just crack up when people comment here on who should or shouldn’t have won – you never tasted the food so how could you know?!!! these judges are way to big of a big shot they think they are the best in the world they think their so cool 😎 even in the previous episode Shushi told Bassi that she is not cooking for her mother she is cooking for the best shafts in the world which i thought that was being a bi shot

Not on a Jewish cooking show, or at least it shouldn’t be. A cooking show is not an excuse to be rude, embarrass people, and act egotistic. There’s a right way to say things, and that was not shown here.
I personally thought Suri should win, I was really disappointed to see her go. She had so much to offer between her amazing personality and gorgeous creations. She stayed with a positive attitude even after receiving so many blows. All throughout the Food Fight there has been countless unnecessary snarky comments from the “celebrity” judges. This is a Jewish competition, please stay true to what we represent.

Suri made a great point when she stated that when tasting a dish you have to have some element of creativity. The judges did not have this; they were set in their ways and preferences, therefore literally expecting the contestants to read their minds. The judges are not qualified for their role, and their ego is gross and overpowering. I truly hate to write such harsh words, but it pains me to see the contestants getting extremely embarrassed over the judges’ egotistical critic. It is thoroughly degrading to a contestant when her masterpiece is called “a good effort” in such condescending tones. This content is not appropriate for a religious Jewish media platform, and please take heed of what is written here for the future. I trust I speak for more people than just myself. Yes i agree completely
constructive criticism is understandable in such a show and can be helpful for the contestants moving forward. However there is definitely criticism being given without the constructiveness. I feel there is also some bias being mixed in with the judging. It’s about the dish, not your preference.
In reply to my own comment: I realize my words are somewhat severe and probably offensive to some. I apologize if I hurt anyone with my judgement. Though I still mean what I had written, perhaps I should not have articulated my misgivings on a public platform. I ask you to please realize that I do not mean to simply insult, rather I am trying to bring awareness to the directors about these few flaws. Thank you for your understanding.
