Prepare the Chocolate Popcorn
Preheat oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add margarine. When margarine is about halfway melted, add sugar, cocoa, and corn syrup. Keep stirring until margarine melts completely and mixture comes together. Bring to a boil. Stir constantly for two minutes. Stir in vanilla and baking soda.
Drizzle chocolate over warm popcorn. Using a plastic glove (or plastic bag placed over your hand), toss the popcorn to fully coat in chocolate. Spread popcorn in a thin, even layer over baking sheet and bake for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Let cool. Store in an airtight container until serving.

Perfection. Not too sweet. Chocolate favor just right. Tastes just like Cinetopia movie theater Chocolate popcorn in Seattle.
hi could you help? hi i tried the mixture for the popcorn but it came very thick, almost brownie batter like. did i do anything wrong or is that how its supposed to come out?
You can loosen it a drop with some more syrup, but I think it's supposed to be thick.
