Born and raised in a multicultural Jewish-Lebanese-Spanish household our culinary journey began in Barcelona, Spain where we learned from our family the rich flavors of Lebanon, Turkey, Israel, Morocco, and Spain. From our mother's fragrant Lebanese dishes to our grandmother's secret Sephardic Turkish specialties, our Moroccan friend's fragrant recipes, our sister's vibrant Israeli creations, and our neighbor's authentic Spanish fare, each dish was a key that unlocked new exciting yumminess.
Fast forward to today, and we're still on that flavor journey, sharing our kitchen adventures on our blog "May I Have That Recipe," and our cookbook Tahini and Turmeric. We're all about authenticity and recipes with a twist. Adding to our recipes a sprinkling of sumac, a handful of za'atar there, a spoonful of fiery harissa, a perfected spice mix, lots of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and a drizzling extra virgin olive oil like it's going out of style. Because let's face it, life's too short for bland food!

Since moving to the United States over two decades ago we've been on an exploratory journey of flavors, that were unfamiliar to us. With the delicate balance of spices in Asian cuisine, the bold flavors of Latin American dishes, and the comforting classics of North American fare, our taste buds were taking a rollercoaster ride, around the world. But here's the thing about us: we just can't resist a culinary challenge. So, we played around in the kitchen and created recipes with a fusion of traditional ingredients and a creative spin on the classics.
