“The air was filled with the most amazing aromas coming from every corner of the room.”
That was the buzz about KFWE 2019. (You can read more about it here and here.)

“There is no other kosher food & wine event like it, it’s truly a unique experience!” says David Levy, VP of Marketing and Special Events for Royal Wine Corp.

And KFWE 2020 is shaping up to be even more spectacular. It’s an event you don’t want to miss.

Here’s a sneak peek and some insider tips to help you get the most out of KFWE NY 2020.

Some KFWE history

Royal Wine Corp, premier manufacturer, importer and distributor of wines, spirits and liqueur, introduced KFWE to New York in 2006. It was an irresistible combo of exclusive wine and food tasting, featuring the top tastes and trends in the kosher world. Fourteen years later, KFWE is worldwide, with events in Miami, LA, London, Tel Aviv, and more to come.

“No other event comes close to showcasing as many wines and dishes as KFWE,” explains Levy.

And KFWE New York is the largest of the KFWE events. It was hard to top KFWE 2019, but Royal Wine Corp has done it again.

TIP: Parking can get hectic, so you might want to carpool or take Uber, Lyft, or a cab.

Kosher Food and Wine Event 2020

When: February 17, 2020.

Where: Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers.

Time: VIP ticket holders can enter at 5:30 pm.

General admission doors open at 6:30 pm.

KFWE NY ends promptly at 9:30 pm.

KFWE is featuring hundreds of wines from over 60 wineries this year. You’ll find wines from around the world: France, Italy, Israel, Spain, Argentina, Chile, California, Australia, New Zealand, and more.

Guests can walk around, browsing and sampling the ample selections of food and wine.

But the experience goes beyond the tasting. You’ll have a chance to speak to the winemakers themselves, hear their stories, and discover what makes their wines unique. You’ll hear from:

  • Jürgen Wagner of Celler de Capçanesin Spain.
  • Lionel Bokobsa of Selection Bokobsa in France.
  • Yehuda Nahar of Jezreel Valley Winery in Israel.

And so many more.

But, as the website says, “What’s wine without food?”

At KFWE, you can pair your wine with food from over 20 restaurants and specialty food companies. There will be the latest in sushi, barbecue, Asian, Continental, French, Mexican, and Caribbean fare.

And we haven’t even mentioned the desserts! End the night on a sweet note with pareve desserts like pastries, cakes, or ice cream.

What’s new at KFWE NY 2020

KFWE is welcoming back many vendors from previous years, but watch out for the new food suppliers and restaurants:

TIP: Stop by the food vendors that you enjoyed last year. Many are offering new dishes for 2020.

“Every year, we get requests from food companies and restaurants to participate, but we make sure that there isn’t too much overlap, so the dishes being served can shine,” says Levy.

Also new and exciting for 2020 is the interactive wine booth. You can see how well you know your wine with some really cool prizes. (Sorry, that’s all Mr. Levy would tell us for now.)

Get the most out of KFWE

With so much to eat and drink, Levy recommends pacing yourself. Plan ahead. Know your limits.

The app is helpful here, too. You can use the map to guide you as you tour the room, saving a list of your favorite wines and foods to come back to later.

TIP: VIPs can access the separate VIP Room. Take a break from the hustle of the main room and enjoy exclusive food from Reserve Cut and some surprise wines that are only available there.

We asked Mr. Levy what he’s most excited about for this year.

“That’s like asking who’s your favorite child!” he answered. “The most exciting thing for me is seeing the crowd having a great time, enjoying all the food and wine.”

Come be part of that crowd!
