Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 3/4 cup Telma Barbecue Sauce or your favorite barbecue sauce

  • nonstick cooking oil spray, such as Glicks

Directions

1.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.

In a bowl, mix ground beef, eggs, bread crumbs, basil, and onions.

3.

Scoop two tablespoons of beef mixture and roll into a ball. Repeat until all mixture is used.

4.

Using a pastry brush, lightly coat meatballs in barbecue sauce.

5.

Spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Place meatballs inside, spaced about 1/2 inch apart.

6.

Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the meatballs begin to brown.

Notes:

Meatballs freeze well. Cool completely, then freeze in a single layer on a tray before transferring to an airtight container or freezer bag. Thaw overnight in fridge and reheat gently.
