Barbecues and beer aren’t just for summer days. The beer tenderizes the meat, making for a melt-in-your-mouth meatball dish.
1/4 cup fish-free Worcestershire sauce, such as Tonnelli
1 cup Telma Barbecue Sauce
1 (12-ounce) bottle beer
2 tablespoons honey
1 and 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup Haddar Brown Sugar
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 egg yolk
1/2 cup Gefen Panko breadcrumbs or plain breadcrumbs
mashed potatoes or Tuscanini Spaghetti
chives, to garnish
Turn slow cooker to the high setting.
Add Worcestershire sauce, barbecue sauce, beer, and honey to the slow cooker.
In a bowl, mix together ground beef, sugar, garlic powder, salt, pepper, egg yolk, and breadcrumbs. Form into about 15 meatballs and add them to the slow cooker.
Cook for six to seven hours. Serve with mashed potatoes or spaghetti and garnish with chives.
