Caramel Chip Pie

I served this at a Friday-night meal and kept it in the oven until dessert time. It was warm and gooey, and no one guessed it was made with a cake mix!

Ingredients

Caramel Chip Pie

  • 1 yellow cake mix

  • 2 eggs

  • 3/4 cup oil

Directions

Prepare the Caramel Chip Pie

1.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.

In a bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, and oil. Add in caramel chips.

3.

Pour into the pie crust.

4.

Bake for 40 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

5.

Serve warm with a scoop of (parve) ice cream.

I have made the Caramel Chip pie twice and both times it was a huge hit. I never use cake mixes for cake, only hacks.
