Soak the cedar plank in water for two hours. Rub olive oil, salt and pepper directly into the plank.
Place salmon on plank and season with your choice of topping.
Place plank on barbecue over indirect heat (you don’t want the fire to hit the wood).
Close barbecue lid and grill until fish flakes easily with a fork.
Notes:
Grilling time depends on the size of the fillet. Small fillets will take about 20 minutes.
