A chocolate lover’s twist on classic hamantaschen. It’s a good thing these are Mezonos, as my kids didn’t believe me that they’re really gluten and egg-free. Feel free to fill with jelly or chocolate chips instead of custard. They’ll still be delicious!
1 and 1/2 cups oat flour
2 tablespoons Gefen Cocoa
3 tablespoons water
1/4 cup oil, such as Gefen Canola Oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla Extract
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
dash of salt
storebought custard, for filling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Knead all ingredients, except custard, together to form a smooth dough.
Roll out dough between two sheets of Gefen Parchment Paper and cut out circles.
Place a tablespoon of custard in each circle and pinch sides to form hamantaschen.
Bake for 10 minutes.
