Diets We got the idea for this Shabbos treat because our grandfather really likes anything mint flavored. This past week we had two of those huge tubs of pretzels in our house that we wanted to get rid of. (We really like the Snyder sourdough pretzels!) We decided to dip them in chocolate and coat them in crushed up peppermint candies.
Yields 1 pound
16 ounces Glicks Chocolate Chips
1 (16-ounce) bag mini twist pretzels, such as Haddar, or pretzels of your choice
1 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
Crush the peppermint candy in a zip-top bag.
Melt chocolate in the microwave 30 seconds at a time until fully smooth. You can use a double boiler to melt the chocolate if you don’t have a microwave.
Dip each pretzel halfway into the chocolate. Then coat the pretzel in the crushed peppermint candy.
Place on a Gefen Parchment-lined baking sheet to cool.
