Deep Fried Olives with Lemon Garlic Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

Lemon-Garlic Dipping Sauce

Deep Fried Olives

  • 1 (15.5-ounce) jar olives (any pitted type)

  • 1/2 cup flour

  • 1 egg, beaten

Directions

Prepare the Deep Fried Olives

1.

Set the flour, egg, and breadcrumbs in three separate shallow dishes.

Dredge the olives in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs and set aside. Repeat until all the olives are completed.

Heat one inch of oil in a frying pan. When oil is 350 degrees Fahrenheit, drop in the olives, but do not overcrowd the pan. Fry 30 seconds on each side, until golden. Place on a paper towel when removing from pan.

Notes:

Reheat by placing olives in a greased metal tin, spraying the their tops with oil, and placing in a 350-degree-Fahrenheit oven for about five minutes.

Prepare the Lemon Garlic Dipping Sauce

1.

Whisk all ingredients together until smooth. Serve with deep fried olives.
