Oven-fried chicken wings are about to be your new favorite thing.
1 package chicken wings, cut into drumettes and wings
2 cups Gefen Cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons Gefen Sesame Seeds
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
oil spray
2 tablespoons oil
2 cloves garlic, grated or 2 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic
1 tablespoon Shiro miso (white miso)
2 tablespoons Gefen Sesame Seeds
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup Gefen Hot Honey
1 teaspoon salt
1 bunch scallions, cleaned and thinly sliced
Mix cornstarch, seasonings, and sesame seeds, and toss together with the chicken wings. Allow to sit for at least two hours or up to overnight.
Lay over a sheet pan lined with a cooling rack. Spray the cooling rack with oil spray and then lay the chicken wings in a single layer on the sheet pan. Spray the chicken wings with oil spray and bake at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes until golden and crispy.
In a pan, heat your oil.
Add the garlic, miso, and sesame seeds and toast for a minute.
Then add your soy sauce salt and honey. Bring it to a boil and remove from heat once sticky. Toss your chicken wings with the sauce and sprinkle with scallions.
