Jalapeño Cheese Cups

Ingredients

Cups

  • 1 (10-ounce) bag tortilla scoop chips

  • mild-flavored salsa

  • 1 jalapeño pepper, deseeded and minced (see note)

Cheese Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 1/2 teaspoon Haddar Salt

  • dash of cayenne pepper

  • 1 cup milk

Directions

1.

In a saucepan, melt butter. Add salt, cayenne pepper, milk, American cheese, and flour and bring to a boil. Lower the flame and simmer for five minutes. Shut the flame and let sit for a few minutes.

Spoon one teaspoon of cheese sauce into each scoop. Add one teaspoon salsa and one to two pieces jalapeño pepper.

Notes:

Make sure to wear gloves when handling the jalapeño pepper.
