Diets In this easy recipe, I dress up regular ketchup, cooking it with wine and spices to create a fantastic dipping sauce. Try it with burgers, barbecue dishes, and veggies.
Yield: 1 and 1/4 cups
3/4 cup Glicks Ketchup
1/4 cup red wine, such as Tuscanini Red Cooking Wine
1/4 cup Tuscanini Red Wine Vinegar
1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoons curry powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
pinch of ground cloves
In a small saucepan, combine ketchup, red wine, red wine vinegar, sugar, curry powder, salt, pepper, and cloves.
Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Continue cooking until the mixture thickens slightly, about 10 minutes.
Let cool and store in the refrigerator for up to one month.
