1 medium onion
3 extra large eggs
1/3 cup oil
1/4 cup water
1 and 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
4 large potatoes
1 pound brisket, 2nd cut
salt
pepper
garlic powder
1/8 cup light brown sugar
1/8 cup water
1/8 cup oil
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
Prepare eight small round pans (bilka size). Spray with cooking spray and set aside.
Place onion in a food processor fitted with the ‘s’ blade and process until mostly smooth.
Add eggs, oil, water, salt and pepper and pulse until combined.
Use the stringy blade attachment to grate the potatoes.
Transfer mixture to a mixing bowl and toss until combined.
Place 1/2 cup of the mixture in each pan. (Try to drain most of the liquid by pressing the 1/2 cup measuring spoon against the side of the bowl.)
Bake for one hour.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
Please meat in a nine x 13 pan and sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat. Cover tightly with foil and bake for three hours.
Remove from oven and use two forks to shred the meat.
Remove ‘latkes’ from pans and stand them vertically on a platter.
Secure the log with a skewer on each end.
Top with pulled beef and caramelized onion strips.
Be creative! Try this with different kinds of latkes, toppings etc. A freilechen Chanuka!
