Maple Cinnamon Buns

This is the newest Erev Shabbos minhag in the Kafra house as it uses some of my Challah dough!

Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • challah dough, enough for 1 large challah

  • maple butter for smearing (about 3/4 cup)

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

  • 1 cup raisins

Directions

For the Maple Cinnamon Buns

1.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.

Roll dough as thin as possible into a rectangle.  Smear with maple butter and sprinkle evenly with cinnamon and raisins. Roll up from short side until fully rolled. 

3.

Cut into two-inch pieces and place in a greased pan, swirl side up.

4.

Brush with beaten egg. Bake for  45 minutes.
