Diets Take cheese danishes (one of my favorite guilty pleasures of all time), add a little square of milk chocolate in the center ,and you’ve basically improved something that was pretty much perfect to begin with. My youngest sister Rivka and I had a great time doing just that!
212 grams farmer cheese
113 grams whipped cream cheese
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 (100-gram) bar Elite Milk Chocolate
2 sheets Gefen Puff Pastry Sheets, defrosted
2 tablespoons milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a medium bowl, combine farmer cheese, cream cheese, egg yolk, sugar, vanilla, and lemon juice.
Cut each sheet of puff pastry into nine squares on a baking sheet covered in Gefen Parchment Paper. Place a half-square of chocolate in the center of each square. Cover it with a small spoonful of cheese mixture.
Wet the pastry edges and bring them together. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until the pastry is cooked through and the tops are just starting to get lightly browned. Remove and cool.
Combine the confectioner’s sugar and milk for the glaze and drizzle over the danishes.

Mixer? Hi, would you recommend using a mixer or blender for the filling? Also, should the cheeses be room temperature? Thank you!
Hi,
I just made these danishes. They were really easy and look impressive and very tempting. I mixed the cheese filling with a spoon and it was perfectly smooth. The cheeses were out of the refrigerator for about an hour – not completely at room temperature. Enjoy!
