Diets 1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon Gefen Ground Cinnamon
1 box Gefen Puff Pastry, thawed
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
Fill a separate medium bowl with water and set near the sugar mixture.
On a sheet of parchment paper, unfold the puff pastry sheet (keep the second one in the refrigerator until ready to use). Cut the pastry sheet in half and then cut into ½-inch strips. Brush the strips with water using a pastry brush or your fingertips and then dip the strips in the sugar mixture, coating both sides.
Twist the dough strips while holding it with both hands and place on the cookie sheet.
Bake twists for seven to eight minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool. Serve or store in an airtight container. Freezes well.
