Diets Nothing like those indulgent Shavuos-morning treats (and cheats!).
Yield: 1 9×13-inch pan
10 tablespoons butter, softened (1 stick plus 2 tablespoons)
2 cups dark brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
2 tablespoons coffee granules, dissolved in 2/3 cup boiling water
3 cups Glicks Flour
2 teaspoons Haddar Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon Gefen Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (8-ounce) container cream cheese (not whipped)
1 egg
1/3 cup sugar
Pillow Kliks
chopped dairy chocolate—dark and white
chopped pecans
dairy chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar. Add egg and coffee and mix until combined. Add dry ingredients and mix just until incorporated. Spread batter in a 9×13-inch pan.
Combine cheese mixture ingredients. Drop spoonfuls of the cheese mixture on top of the batter.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle add-ins. You may need to gently press them in.
Return to oven for another 25 minutes or until set. Allow to cool.
Cut into bars.
