Diets If you’ve ever been to Saba’s Pizza and ordered their famous mushroom ricotta pizza, you know just how delicious it is. This simple version captures those same rich, creamy flavors using three Tuscanini staples, making it easy to recreate at home in minutes.
Makes 2 individual pizzas
1 (8-ounce) package shiitake mushrooms, thinly sliced
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 package Tuscanini Pizza Crust
1 (15-ounce) jar Tuscanini Mushroom Alfredo Sauce
Tuscanini Pesto, for drizzling
freshly grated Tuscanini Parmesan cheese, for topping
fresh basil leaves, for serving
Preheat the oven to 475 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with Gefen Parchment Paper.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shiitake mushrooms and kosher salt, and sauté until the mushrooms are deeply browned and crispy, about eight minutes.
Place the pizza crusts on the prepared baking sheet. Spread half of the Tuscanini Mushroom Alfredo Sauce evenly over each crust.
Top with the crispy shiitake mushrooms and a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese.
Bake for eight to 10 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbling and the crust is golden brown around the edges.
Remove from the oven and drizzle with Tuscanini Pesto. Garnish with fresh basil and an additional sprinkling of Parmesan cheese. Slice and serve immediately.
