It’s my own delicious meatloaf recipe that has hard boiled eggs in the middle. When you cut it, it looks like a slice with a round egg in the middle. It’s my grandchildren’s favorite food. I made it with ground beef and I’ve also made it with ground turkey and they are both delicious.
2 pounds ground meat
2 eggs
1 cup oats
1 package onion soup mix
4 tablespoon (1/4 cup) A-1 steak sauce
4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) ketchup plus 4 tablespoons for drizzle
1/2 cup water
6 whole hard boiled eggs, shelled
Mix all the ingredients except hard boiled eggs and ketchup for drizzle.
Prepare a large loaf pan or two small loaf pans. Spray with Pam.
Place half the meat mixture in the pans.
Place the hard boiled eggs on top of the meat mixture and cover with the rest of the meat mixture.
Drizzle with ketchup. Bake in a 375 degree oven for one and 1/2 hours. If using two pans, bake about an hour and 15 minutes.
