For those with the custom to refrain from eating nuts from Rosh Hashanah through Shemini Atzeret, this week represents an opportunity to welcome them back into our kitchens.
7 eggs
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons flour or Gefen Bread Crumbs
3 tablespoons oil
8 ounces ground nuts
1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
Beat egg whites, gradually adding sugar and beating until stiff.
Fold in remaining ingredients. Mix until well combined.
Pour into a greased nine-inch tube pan.
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour.
