3 potatoes
1 (6 ounce) package sliced pastrami
1 small onion
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup mustard
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup hot sauce
1/4 cup water
2 eggs
Thinly slice potatoes into rounds.
Lightly salt potato rounds.
Slice onion into thin rounds.
Mix honey and mustard.
Layer potato slice, pastrami, onion, honey mustard, and a potato slice.
Pour three inches of oil into a medium pot; place over medium heat.
While oil is heating, add flour, baking powder, hot sauce, water, and eggs to a bowl. Stir to combine into a thick batter.
Dip the “bite” into the batter, covering it on all sides.
Once oil is hot, add the “bites” in small batches to the pot.
Fry for two minutes, or until potatoes are soft.
Use a slotted spoon to remove and place on a cooling rack.
