Diets This year for Chanukah try something different with these melt-in-your-mouth delicious ricotta fritters.
454 grams (1 pound) ricotta cheese
3/4 cup of sugar
4 eggs
1/2 cup of milk
2 and 1/2 cups all purpose flour, such as Glicks
2 tablespoons baking powder
Manischewitz Grapeseed Oil or canola oil , for frying
1/2 cup Gefen Honey
Line a baking sheet with paper towels. In a bowl, mix flour and baking powder. Reserve.
In another bowl, whisk ricotta, milk, eggs, and sugar with an electric mixer. Using a spatula, stir in the flour mixture.
In a small saucepan heat the oil to medium high heat to (you need a height of four centimeters [one and a half inches] of oil).
Using two tablespoons form balls of dough and gently place them in the hot oil.
Fry for two to three minutes or until the donuts are golden brown. Drain on the paper towels. Let cool.
Serve drizzled with honey.
