The salty-sweet combo is a real thing. It always sounds crazy, but when it works it works. This salad just works.

Ingredients

Salad

  • 1 (8-ounce/225-gram) bag shredded lettuce

  • 1 peach, sliced

  • 1 (pretty firm) avocado, diced

Dressing

  • pinch pepper

Directions

Toss salad ingredients in a large bowl. Combine dressing ingredients and drizzle on top.

Notes:

I always cheap out when it comes to candied nuts and make them myself. It’s the same method for all candied nuts. Ratio is 2:1, nuts to sugar. Put the sugar and nuts in a dry frying pan (no oil), and don’t walk away! Keep stirring until evenly golden. When done, spread out on Gefen Parchment Paper to cool.
