Wontons have come a long way since they left the soup! Chicken wontons, beef wontons … how about trying salmon wontons?
canola oil, for frying
24 3/4-inch salmon cubes
Glicks Sesame Teriyaki Sauce
Marinate salmon cubes in teriyaki sauce for an hour or two.
Place a salmon cube in the center of each wonton wrapper. Bring two opposite corners to the center and then bring in the other two corners to form an envelope.
Heat the oil in a large pot and fry each wonton for two to three minutes on each side.
Plate the wontons in small rectangular three-compartment plastic dishes. Place two wontons in either side of the rectangular dish and fill the center with more sesame teriyaki sauce. Place the dish on the top part of a square plate.
Fill the remaining part of the plate with salad.

Freeze I see that you say it’s best not to freeze the wontons, If I freeze it before frying and then fry them fresh do you think they’ll be good?
wonton/eggroll hi whats the diff btwn a wonton wrapper and an eggroll?
can i use a eggroll wrappers for this recipe?
That only difference is the size. It may need to be cut down.
Salmon Wonton I used a grilled salmon recipe for the fish, wrapped them in store-bought wonton dough and froze them. When I was ready to use them, I let them thaw for a bit and fried them. It was absolutely delicious!! Had no leftovers!
What a great appetizer Gitty!
