Mustard and meat: do you know of a better combination? This sweet and smoky dish makes a great vegetable side.
12 ounces fresh broccoli
2 tablespoons brown mustard
2 tablespoons Gefen Honey
1 teaspoon Tonnelli Apple Cider Vinegar
2 drops liquid smoke
2 ounces facon or beef fry
Trim broccoli stems and discard. In a pot of boiling water, blanch broccoli. Drain and set aside in an ice bath.
In a small bowl, combine mustard, honey, vinegar, and liquid smoke. Set aside.
In a skillet, fry the beef fry and set aside. Discard the excess fat from the skillet and return the pan to the fire.
Add broccoli and sauce and toss to coat. Cut beef fry into slices and add to broccoli. Mix and serve hot.
