3 packages Manischewitz Split Pea Soup Mix with seasoning packets
2 onions
5–6 cloves garlic
6 cups water
3 and 1/2 quarts water
10 carrots, diced or shredded
1 tablespoon salt
Place split peas, onion, and garlic into an eight-quart pot. Add six cups water and bring to a boil.
Cook for 30–45 minutes.
Blend (with hand blender) until smooth.
Add three and a half quarts water, carrots, salt, and seasoning. Cook for additional 30 minutes.
