Make sure to use sun-dried tomatoes that are packed in oil. This will make a big difference in the taste, texture, and color. This also tastes great with sliced green olives!
1 pound pasta, prepared according to package instructions
3/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, packed in oil, chopped
12 ounces Tuscanini Tomato Paste
1/4 cup oil from the sun-dried tomatoes (if needed, add olive oil to make 1/4 cup)
8 cubes Gefen Frozen Basil (about 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves)
2 teaspoons minced garlic or 2 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Combine sun-dried tomatoes, sun-dried tomato oil, tomato paste, basil, garlic, salt, sugar, and pepper in a food processor and puree until smooth.
Combine sauce with pasta and serve.
