Sweet and Sour Meat Lasagne

Ingredients

Meat Lasagne

  • minced meat

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs

  • squeeze ketchup

  • salt

  • pepper

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons oil

  • 2 onions

  • 1 small passata (500g)

  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1/2 cup ketchup

Directions

1.

Fry the onion in the oil.

Add all other ingredients and bring to a boil.

Mix the mince meat with the egg, ketchup, breadcrumbs, and spices.

Layer the lasagne as mince meat, sauce, lasagne sheet. Repeat, ensuring the sauce is the top layer. Cook at 180 degrees Celsius for an hour covered.

5.

Variation: This can be done in the lasagne canelloni roll ups. Place mince meat inside each lasagne roll and then top with sauce. Tightly cover and bake for an hour.
