The Seder is one of the most magical nights for kids. The table is set beautifully, the matzah is stacked high, the Haggadot are ready, and the kids are very ready for their big moment asking the Four Questions. But let’s be honest: for little ones, the Seder can also feel very long. Between the late bedtime, lots of reading, and waiting patiently for the soup, keeping kids engaged can sometimes feel like its own mini challenge.
The good news? With a little creativity, the Seder table can become a place where kids feel excited, involved, and eager to participate. From hands-on crafts and printable games to adorable treats and fun activities that bring the story of Pesach to life, there are so many simple ways to keep the youngest guests happily engaged all night long.
We’ve rounded up some of our favorite ideas below, from two-ingredient grape juice jello cups kids will love to makkot puzzles, trivia games, crafts, and more. Because when the kids are engaged, the entire Seder becomes that much more joyful.
