My family usually takes at least one road trip each year. A few weeks ago, we went on one, and I stocked up on new toys to keep the kids entertained in the car. I try to avoid screen time for as long as possible. Growing up, my mom did the same—and honestly, it was a highlight of the entire experience. Getting to play with something new felt special and unique to our trips, and it was so much better than spending time on my Nintendo. I reused some favorites from last year's trip, but here are the new toys I bought this time around—and my kids loved them! These picks are especially great for younger kids (ages 1–7).
