Last night was one of those evenings that reminded me why we do what we do at Kosher.com.
The Kosher.com Studio was filled with over 100 women who came together for a special pre-Shavuos event featuring Adriana (known to many in the community as Adina) from@nowjewishnanny.
The event was held to benefit Touch of Care, an organization that provides support to Jewish families who have received a diagnosis of Down syndrome, either during pregnancy or at birth.
From the moment the doors opened, there was an incredible feeling in the room. Women of all ages gathered to connect, laugh, listen, and simply be together in a meaningful way before the Yom Tov of Shavuos.
What made the evening especially powerful was Adina herself. She spoke with such honesty, warmth, and vulnerability, and you could feel how deeply the audience connected to her words. Part of the speech focused on the story of Rus, and how as a convert Adina feels so connected to her story and the holiday of Shavuos. She also shared a beautiful thought; perhaps every Jewish woman should imagine herself a convert before this Yom Tov, to really appreciate every single mitzvah that we often take for granted or do by rote.

During the Q&A portion of the evening, women opened up and asked heartfelt questions, and Adina answered each one with so much openness and sincerity. Nothing felt rehearsed or surface-level. She shared from the heart, and in turn, she truly touched everyone else’s hearts, too.
There were moments of laughter, moments of reflection, and moments where the room felt completely still as women listened intently to what was being shared. It felt less like an “event” and more like a genuine conversation among friends.
The atmosphere throughout the evening was especially beautiful, thanks in part to our sponsor, Wissotzky Tea, who created a stunning tea bar experience in the studio.

Watching the studio transform into a space of connection and inspiration was incredibly special for our team. Between the thoughtful setup by Confetti Events, the warm energy in the room, and the conversations that continued long after the formal program ended, the entire evening felt uplifting from beginning to end.
One of my favorite parts of the night was seeing women stay afterward- talking, taking pictures, meeting people they’ve followed online for years, and continuing conversations sparked during the event. It was clear that nobody wanted the evening to end.
We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the night what it was. Events like this remind us that Kosher.com is about so much more than recipes. It’s about community, connection, and creating spaces where women can feel inspired, supported, and understood.
And if last night was any indication, this is only the beginning. To hear about future events, sign up to our email list here!
