I always try to make a few new recipes for Yom Tov, because when else do I get to play like that in the kitchen?! Then, the recipes become part of our tried-and-true faves, and we love that. There’s nothing like coming back to a recipe a second time, and it really becomes yours. I hope to try all of these for Rosh Hashanah, and I’d like to invite you to join me! At least virtually 🙂 Wishing you and your family a happy, healthy, sweet new year!
1. Flanken-Mushroom-Cauliflower Soup by Chanie Nayman
I always like to make a soup like this and serve it on the second night. I try not to have guests that meal, because it starts so late and everyone is still tired from the daytime meal. This feels like a meal in a bowl, so with a starter of challah and dips, and a side dish of roasted vegetables, you’re really good to go.

2. Herb and Silan Crusted Sweet Potatoes by Sima Kazarnovsky
I love side dishes that present nicely, and this one fits the bill! Colorful and intentional.

3. Minty Winter Salad with Crispy Bulgur-Chestnut Topping by Brynie Greisman
I love a new concept, and this one is it! Wait, I should have said first, I am super into my salad course, especially when I host. This one is definitely going to make an appearance at some point.

4. Caramelized Onion and Date Pargiyot by Sina Mizrahi
I looove a slow cooked pargiot recipe, and I love bringing the dates into this one.

5. Apple and Leek Stuffed Capons by Michal Frischman
I always like making stuffed capons, because its a lighter option than meat, and the stuffing here is different and interesting.

6. Crispy Chickpea Salad by Michal Frischman
Okay, this is one thing I am most excited about. It's one element that makes a big impact, and can be used on so many different salads or side dishes.

7. Ribboned Carrots and Cukes Salad by Danielle Renov
I love a fresh salad that's a degree beyond a classic lettuce salad. I know I’ll be making this one on repeat!

8. Sweet and Savory Glazed Steak Platter by Chaya Surie Goldberger
I always make sliced medium-rare meats, and honestly, I get a little bored. So I love the idea of presenting a platter with a few different meats to up the level of variety at my meal.

9. Simanim Stuffed Butternut Squash by Erin Grunstein
I loveee filling squash. It looks beautiful, and its such a healthy options to add to a meal as opposed to more white carbs. A simanim-filled one is perfect for right now.

10. Apple Rose Pie by Jackie Yesharim
What a beautiful apple presentation! The best part is that it's so easy. And yes, I’ll probably skip the bees. It will still have a great effect!
