Making dulce de leche at home is shockingly easy (it might just be the best lazy hack out there). All you need is one ingredient: sweetened condensed milk. No mess, no pots to scrub, no cleanup. Just let the can simmer in a pot of boiling water and it transforms into a silky, rich dulce de leche that’s amazing on desserts, in coffee, or straight off the spoon.
It’s the perfect effortless sweet treat with maximum payoff.

how long does it need to simmer?
I let it simmer for 2-3 hours. Just make sure to keep refilling the pot with water if you find the water keeps evaporating.
Please can someone tell me where to buy this in London?? I haven’t found it so far…
