Hi, we’re Shoshi and Tzippy Newman. Two sisters under the age of 12 who love to bake for Shabbat! Join us as we bake up easy, kid-friendly treats for Shabbat!
And this week we are making something insane because its so cute and YUM! Basically it's a candy-covered cookie. How heaven does that sound? It doesn’t need to sound yum because guess what, it is yum!
This time, we used crushed sandwich cookies and chocolate lentils. So just follow the easy steps and you'll have these insane cookies in no time.
Candy-Covered Cookies

Step One:
Wash your hands and clear your counters!
Step Two:
Gather your ingredients:
1. Favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe or frozen cookie dough
2. Any candy or cereal or topping of your choice
Step Three:
Prepare and bake your cookies and allow them to cool.
Step Four:
Melt chocolate in a microwave or double boiler.
Step Five:
Pour your topping into a 9x13-inch pan or baking sheet, enough to cover the bottom. Spoon a circle of melted chocolate about the size of your cookie on top of the topping, and immediately place the cookie on top. Do this as many times as you can to fill your pan.
Step Six:
Place in the fridge or freezer for 10 to 15 minutes to harden.
Step Seven:
Remove from the freezer, remove the cookies, and enjoy!
