Welcome to Silver Spring, MD! As one of the largest suburban Jewish communities of Washington DC, Silver Spring is still known for its down-to-earth, out-of-town vibe. Whether you’re in the area visiting the White House, or one of the (free) Smithsonian museums, we got you covered with where to eat and play in the nation’s capital.

Travel and Getting Around:
Once you’re in Silver Spring, getting to DC is easy. You can go by car or train. With a car, traffic and parking can be an issue, but there are garages and street parking in many areas. You can also take the metro. It has a stop (Wheaton) 5 minutes from Silver Spring. Hop on the red line heading towards Shady Grove, and you will be on your way to DC.
