Creating this box was such a fun and detailed process, and my goal was to make it as easy as possible for you to recreate at home. I’ve provided PDFs, a grocery list, and an Amazon list to simplify everything.
BP Graphics helped format the PDFs so they can be easily printed on standard mailing labels, and designed the makkos liner to be simple to cut out. Center of Town also went above and beyond—despite the busy season, they checked their storage to make sure there was enough inventory of the clear boxes.
This box really brings the makkos to life and gets kids excited and involved! You can prepare most of it in advance, aside from the jello, cherry sours, and animal gummies. I’ve walked you through the process step by step, so assembly should be easy.
And if you don’t have access to color printing, don’t worry—black and white looks great too.
Enjoy!

Amazon List:
-Clear plastic box with lid (I used a 9.5x5x2.5 size box. Can be found on Amazon or at Center of Town in Lakewood)
- 1 oz container- party essentials leak proof condiment souffleÂ
- Tzfardia- mini frogs
- Arov- animal print slap bracelets
- Barad- flame stickers
- Arbe- plastic grasshoppers
- Choshech- black sleep masks
- Bechoros- cookie paint brush disposable
Grocery List:
Dam- cherry jello and mini small spoons
Kinim- chocolates or chocolate sprinkles
Dever- animal gummies
Shchin- Red circle candies or Gefen dried cherries
Barad- lollipops
Bechoros- red taffy rope or fruit leather

To Assemble:
1. Take off the cover and cut out the makkos liner to size, using the marks on the page. Place into box.
2. Place each food item into the small containers and cover with a lid.
3. Then place each container on the correct spot on the liner.
4. Place the fire sticker on the lollipop for barad.
5. Roll up the mask and tie it with the elastics that it comes with for choshech. Bend it into a shape of a U to match the size of the doorway and put the taffy rope or fruit leather near it for bechoros.
