My own original meatloaf with cheese recipe that is 100% kosher. My husband loves a kosher option for meat and cheese together.

Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • Oil, for frying

  • 1 small onion

  • 3/4 cup oats

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 pound ground beef (ground turkey or chicken may be substituted)

  • 1/3 cup ketchup

  • 1/4 cup Daiya shredded cheese (this cheese is non-dairy to adhere to kosher law) (optional)

Directions

Prepare the Meatloaf

1.

Fry onions in oil about 5 minutes till golden brown. Remove from heat and let cool a few minutes.

2.

Preheat oven to 375F.

In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together, except Daiya shredded cheese.

4.

Put as a loaf in a pan. Cover a bake about 45 minutes.

5.

Uncover, sprinkle the cheese on top (if desired) and bake another 15 minutes.
