Apple and Raisin Stuffing

Ingredients

For the Stuffing

  • 1 large onion, chopped

  • 4 tablespoons oil

  • 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced

  • 3 tart apples, cubed

  • 2 slices challah, soaked and squeezed

  • 2/3 cup raisins

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

For the Stuffing

1.

Sauté onion in oil until golden.

2.

Add mushrooms and sauté for five minutes.

3.

Combine with remaining ingredients.

For the Stuffing

Yields: Stuffing for 4–6 chicken quarters
