A twist on a classic apple cake, this recipe is sure to delight both apple cake fans young and old. Each bite is packed with a moist cake, yummy apple filling, and a delicious crumb topping. Ingredients

Cake

  • 6 eggs

  • 1 and 1/2 cups sugar

  • 1 cup oil

  • 1/4 cup orange juice

Filling

  • 5 tablespoons sugar

Crumb Topping

  • 2 ounces margarine

  • 1/4 cup sugar or brown sugar

  • 3/4 cup flour

Directions

Prepare the Apple Crumb Cake

1.

Beat eggs with sugar, then reduce mixer speed.

2.

Alternate liquids with dry ingredients. Pour into 10- by 16-inch pan.

3.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

4.

Mix apples with cinnamon and sugar. Spread over cake batter.

5.

Mix margarine, sugar, and flour until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.

6.

Bake at 350 for one hour and 10 minutes.
