Diets Apple Faloodeh is a traditional Iranian treat for breaking the fast after Yom Kippur. Watch how Liora makes this drink-meets-dessert on Nosh & Nibble!
4 large apples, peeled and coarsely grated (recommend using a sweet apple, like Gala)
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons rose water
3 cups water
ice cubes
Place coarsely grated apples into a large bowl. Add rose water and sugar. At this point you can refrigerate to have prepared for after the fast, otherwise continue to next step.
When ready to serve, add water and ice-cubes and mix. Use a large ladle to scoop into glass cups. Serve with a spoon. You can either sip directly from the cup or spoon out the drink. Enjoy and wish you an easy fast!
